You will not find another presentation of costume jewellery of various technologies and ranges in other place in the world, like the one in the Jablonec museum.

The main building was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century in the Art Nouveau style, and you can find it in the town centre of Jablonec nad Nisou. It offers the best of the museum´s extensive collection resources. On the permanent display called “Kouzelný svět bižuterie" (Magic World of Costume Jewellery), you can admire the costume jewellery as well as buttons, coins, medals and an authorial jewel. The Čarovná zahrada – České sklo sedmi století (Magic Garden – Czech Glass of Seven Centuries) display traces the story of the journey of glass from an anonymous goblet to an authorial jewel, and it presents not only the luxurious glasswork but also products for everyday use. Recently, the display was extended by a selection of glass awards and trophies from famous competitions and TV surveys, attractive for the visitors. It is possible to see, for example, an award for the winner of the STAR DANCE dancing competition (Dancing with the Stars) or Lucie Bílá’s Zlatý slavík (Best Singer Award Czech Nightingale).

The museum also offers temporary displays, accompanying museum programmes and creative workshops to its visitors. There is a public internet access, a shop with a sitting area and a possibility of small refreshment on the premises.
